Algal Vessel Necklace

This pendant is inspired by a tiny algae that rides the currents of the vast Southern Ocean. Like the early ships that first discovered these creatures, this work too is a vessel bound to travel with its wearer. The pattern and form is derived from the tube-like cells of the algae Dactyliosolens spp.
